Each week, The Funky Vybes selection will take you on a musical journey, which incorporates elements of music from his growing collection of music.

“Music is a celebration of life and life is a reflection of family, hence each week we will end the show with a selection of songs from “What MAMA used to play”. We ask you to share the songs that were popular in your household as a child.”

“The great thing about chaaawaaa is the help and support that you get from everyone, the family vibe is real and it’s an honour to be a part of that.”

Music has no boundaries; it’s what brings us together. You do not need to understand the spoken language to enjoy the song; love is the language of music. I guess music is not only something you hear, it’s more than that, its something you feel.

When we asked Wole how he is coping with all the challenges that life throws at him, he went on to say, “Embrace whatever the day presents you with, in the knowledge that you will always have good days and better days. We experience what we have to experience in life, its part of the journey.”

It’s always important to be mindful and understand that happiness is not the destination; it’s the attitude with which we travel on life’s journey.

From his early childhood in Lagos Nigeria, Wole has fond memories of the part music played in people’s lives. He said whatever the occasion, music always played a central role in the proceedings. When he came to the UK his love of music continued to grow and he remembers joining a school friend who was a member of the road crew for bands performing at different venues in the North East of England where he went to secondary school.
